Paul Arciero

Paul Arciero, professor of health and human physiological sciences, was quoted about home workouts in Parade magazine and by New York magazine for its column The Cut. He also co-authored a peer-reviewed article, “The athletic gut microbiota,” in the Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition.

David Domozych, professor of biology, published three David Domozychpapers. “The Penium margaritaceum Genome: Hallmarks of the Origins of Land Plants,” in the journal Cell, is a culmination of work performed by a National Science Foundation-funded collaboration of researchers from Skidmore College, Cornell University, the Boyce Thompson Institute, University of British Columbia and Max Planck Institute, and its co-authors include Lily Sun, Skidmore Microscopy Imaging Center (SMIC) technology and research coordinator, and Reagan Reed ’20. “Endomembrane architecture and dynamics during secretion of the extracellular matrix of the unicellular charophyte, Penium margaritaceum,” in the Journal of Experimental Botany, was co-authored by Sun, Reed and Mingjia Li ’20. “Cutin and suberin: assembly and origins of specialized lipidic cell wall scaffolds” was published in the journal Current Opinion in Plant Biology.

Jennifer MuellerJennifer Mueller, assistant professor of sociology and director of the Intergroup Relations Program, published an academic article, “Racial Ideology or Racial Ignorance? An Alternative Theory of Racial Cognition,” in the journal Sociological Theory.

Dwayne ZulhkeDwayne Zuhlke, associate director/HR liaison of Human Resources, received his Ph.D. in business from Capella University in March. His dissertation was titled “The Impact of Ethical Leadership on Trust Levels Between Employees.”
