Jeremy Day-O'Connell, associate professor of music, published his essay “A Voice in the Wilderness” in Comment magazine.

Sarah DiPasquale and Jason Ohlberg, associate professors of dance, were selected to co-present two featured sessions at the National Dance Education Organization's annual conference in Denver. The sessions were titled "Assessing Inclusive Learning in Dance History" and "Dance Leadership: Reframing Barrier as Opportunity." Ohlberg also served on a panel session, "Navigating the Academic Job Market.”

Catherine J. Golden, professor of English, has published her essay "Stepping to the Music Which He Hears: Barry Moser in Retrospective" as the opening piece to issue 75 of Illustration Magazine, a British arts journal. She has also written the introduction to a new collection of short stories by Charlotte Perkins Gilman, “When I Was a Witch & Other Stories." The collection was published by Flame Tree Press, a division of Simon and Schuster, in September 2023. 

Holly McGarry, student accounts coordinator in Financial Services, has released a new album with her band, Honeysuckle. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, McGarry and partner Chris Bloniarz have performed at Newport Folk Festival, Lollapalooza, Mountain Jam, Americanafest, and other venues. Honeysuckle released the new album "Shadow Dance" in October and will perform at Caffe Lena on Thursday, Oct. 19, as part of a tour. 

Rebecca McNamera, associate curator at the Tang Teaching Museum, edited the recently published exhibition catalogue “Radical Fiber: Threads Connecting Art and Science,” featuring an introduction by Dayton Director Ian Berry and contributions by Associate Professor of Environmental Studies and Science Nurcan Atalan-Helicke, Associate Professor of Psychology and Neuroscience Denise Evert, Professor of Mathematics Mark Huibregtse, Associate Professor of Neuroscience Sara Lagalwar, Senior Lecturer of Biology Elaine Larsen, Professor and Chair of Art Sang-Wook Lee, Associate Professor of Computer Science Aarathi Prasad, Professor of Mathematics Rachel Roe-Dale, Assistant Director for Curatorial Affairs and Malloy Curator Rachel Seligman, and Senior Teaching Professor of Mathematics Becky Trousil.

Aarathi Prasad, associate professor of computer science, published an article titled Anxiously attached: Personality predictors of privacy attitudes, trust, and willingness to share information on the internet in the International Journal of Personality Psychology. The article was co-authored with professors Joshua Hart (Psychology) and Timothy Stablein (Sociology) of Union College.

Alexandra Prince, assistant professor of religious studies, received a research grant from the American Academy of Religion to conduct research in Jamaica.
