Yelena Biberman-Ocakli and Christopher Mann, associate professors of political science, published "The Effects of State Presence on the Mental Mapping of Security: Evidence from an Experiment in Kashmir” in Journal of Peace Research

Ruben Castillo, assistant professor of studio art, will present on his current scholarship at the University of California, Berkeley, as part of the Art Practice Department's Weisenfeld Lecture Series.

Joseph Cermatori, associate professor of English, discussed his recent book, “Baroque Modernity,” in an online forum hosted by the interdisciplinary humanities journal Modernism/modernity. His interlocutor for the event was Professor Emmelyn Butterfield-Rosen of New York University, discussing her own recent book, “Modern Art and the Remaking of Human Disposition.”

Brian Lawson, visiting assistant professor in dance, has been selected as a fellow for the Early Career Faculty workshop run by the Nielsen Center for the Liberal Arts at Eckerd College.

Evan Mack, senior teaching professor, had his song cycle, “Letters from the Frontline,” premiere in Montreal, Canada at Salle Bourgie Arts. The poems are by Ukrainian poet/soldier Pavlo Vyshebaba, and the work was performed by opera star Ihor Mostovoi and pianist Serhiy Salov to rave reviews.

Flip Phillips, professor emeritus, received a Milestone Award from Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, for his help in the development of Renderman, the 3D rendering software used by Pixar.

Jeff Segrave, professor of health and human physiological science, published a chapter, "The Pre-Modern Olympic Games," in “Olympic Knowledge - Essential Reading Series.”
