Heather Hurst, professor of anthropology, and Charlie Bettigole, director of the GIS Center for Interdisciplinary Research, partnered with colleagues Robert Griffin and Kelsey Herndon from the University of Alabama in Huntsville, to create a nonprofit organization Carpe Futurum, which is dedicated to education and research in archaeology, cultural heritage, and environmental sciences. 

Steve Ives, associate professor of health and human physiological sciences, was interviewed on the ScienceStuff Podcast about the lore of waiting 30 minutes before swimming. 

Ruth M. McAdams, senior teaching professor, published an article, "Religious Violence without Religion: Bleak Secular Stasis in Dickens's ‘Barnaby Rudge’," in the journal Nineteenth-Century Literature. 

Rebecca McNamara, Tang Associate Curator, published "A Handmade Wonderland," an essay on the art and life of Paula Wilson and Mike Lagg, in American Craft. 

Christopher Seaton, professor of mathematics, coauthored a paper, "Hilbert measures on orbit spaces of coregular Om-modules," published in the Journal of Geometry and Physics.
