Dan Cordell has been a band and orchestra director in the Guilderland Central School
District since 1990 and trombone teacher at Skidmore College since 2015. He currently
teaches at Altamont and Pine Bush Elementary schools. Dan earned a masters degree
in music education from the College Of Saint Rose where he studied bass trombone with
Mary Ann Craig. Dan performs regularly throughout the Capital District in groups such
as the Proctors Theater Orchestra, the Schenectady, Glens Falls, Catskill and Clinton
Symphony Orchestras and he is a founding member of the Empire Jazz Orchestra and Tri-City
Brass Quintet.
