PATRICE MALATESTINIC is a free-lance French hornist in New York’s Capital Region, a member of the Glens Falls and Schenectady Symphonies, a founding member of fünf – woodwind quintet, and a chorister in Albany’s Historic St. Peter’s Church Choir. She directs St. Peter’s Horn Choir, has been a member of North Winds, On Cor, and performs with musical theater productions, opera and national tours at Schenectady’s Proctor’s Theater, Hubbard Hall Opera Theater, and Albany’s Park Playhouse.  Her Masters degree culminates from graduate work in performance and pedagogy at Northern Illinois University; Nordwestdeutsche Musikakademie, Detmold; Die Hochschule für Musik ‘Mozarteum’ Salzberg; and work at the College of St. Rose.  Her principal teachers are: Virginia Culpepper, Michael Hoeltzel, Julie Landsman and David Jolley.  

An active member of the International Horn Society, Ms. Malatestinic hosted the 2008 regional Northeast Horn Workshop at Skidmore College. In addition to her work at Skidmore, she teaches horn at The College of St. Rose and maintains active private teaching studios in Albany, and at her home in Saratoga Springs, New York.
