Josh Rodriguez is a graduate of the Juilliard School where he studied violin with Ivan Galamian and Joseph Fuchs. Josh has toured internationally as a soloist and chamber musician, most notably as soloist in the Butterfly Lover's Concerto (performed throughout China), and commisssioning and premiering Evan Mack's sonata for violin and piano.
As a composer, Josh has written over 50 songs. His 'Czeck-Out Blues' can be heard on Itunes. In 2014 Josh's music was featured in a concert of American songwriters in Albany, New York.
Josh's new work, a song cycle based on Herman Melville's Moby Dick, will be performed
at Skidmore in 2020.
Josh is currently adjunct professor of violin at Skidmore College, and Assistant Concertmaster
of the Glens Falls Symphony.
