Summer COVID-19 surveillance testing guidelines

May 18, 2021

Beginning on Monday, May 24, fully vaccinated individuals (14 days past last dose of COVID-19 vaccine) will be exempt from Skidmore’s COVID-19 surveillance testing requirements.

For those who must still participate in surveillance testing over the summer, all campus COVID-19 testing will take place in Palamountain 201 beginning on Monday, May 24.

(Please note: There will be no campus testing this Friday, May 21, so the summer testing location can be moved.)

The following rules will apply to employees beginning May 24:

  • Fully vaccinated (14 days past last dose of COVID-19 vaccine) employees are exempt from the College's surveillance testing program effective May 24.
  • Testing after May 24 will continue to be required on a weekly basis for all non-vaccinated employees who will be working on campus with regular proximate contact (working in the same workspace) with co-workers or students.
  • Non-vaccinated employees who will only come into incidental contact with others but otherwise work alone (either in their own private office or in a shared office space but who will work alone because of staggered staffing arrangements) are also exempt from the College's surveillance testing program effective May 24.

The summer COVID-19 testing schedule will be:

  • 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday
  • 8 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

Testing will not be offered on Memorial Day (May 31) and July 5, as these are College holidays. Instead, testing hours will be extended on the following Tuesdays, June 1 and July 6.
