Important COVID-19 operational changes

November 10, 2021

Dear Skidmore Community,

Unfortunately, with the return of COVID-19 test results today, we are seeing an increase in the number of positive cases among students. Therefore, we are implementing the following operational changes:

  • Effective immediately, visitors are not permitted in residence halls, rooms, or apartments. Off-campus students must follow the same guidelines as on-campus students.
  • Effective beginning with lunch tomorrow, Murray-Aikins Dining Hall and The Spa will move to grab-and-go dining.

Local transmission rates are currently classified as high and are increasing across Saratoga County. In turn, it is essential that masks be worn at all times indoors when students are off campus (e.g. at the grocery store or in town).

Additional operational changes may be forthcoming. Please monitor your email for important updates. Thank you for your prompt attention to these changes.

As we shared earlier today, careful and responsible actions from all of us are critical in these final weeks of the semester and as we prepare for Thanksgiving break.

Sincerely,

The COVID-19 Logistics Working Group
