Campus Safety issues snow advisory (Sunday, Dec. 16)
Issued by Campus Safety at 4:44 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16:We have had continual snow fall, sleet and freezing rain over the weekend, and a winter storm warning is in effect until 7 a.m. Monday morning. Facilities has been working tirelessly to keep the roadways plowed and sanded, but there is more to come tonight according to the weather service. As a result, Facilities will have staff on campus at 3 a.m. on Monday morning (12/17) to get a head start on the roadways before other employees arrive.
Students who do not need to move their cars over the next few days, should not unless the snow removal plan is implemented. The roadways should be sufficiently cleared by the time students will be leaving for the Christmas break. Campus Safety has a few shovels students can borrow to dig out if necessary - all that is needed is a student ID card to leave while the shovel is out.
If the snow removal plan is to be implemented Monday night into Tuesday morning, another e-mail will be sent to the Skidmore community.
