Skidmore College
Academic Offerings

At Skidmore, you can choose from B.A. and B.S. degrees in more than 40 areas—in traditional liberal arts disciplines and the sciences, of course, but also in pre-professional fields such as business, education, exercise science, and studio arts. A handful of students even craft their own self-determined majors.

And virtually all majors have corresponding minors. Minors without majors include Arts Administration, Chinese, Intergroup Relations (IGR), Italian, Japanese, Latin American and Latinx studies, and our newest—Black Studies Program.

Our majors and independent minors are presented below for you to investigate. If you’re like many Skidmore students, you’ll graduate with a double major or at least add a minor to your major. What will you major in? Minor in? What profession will you pursue? Where will you live? That's up to you!
