On Saturday, Oct. 5, alumni and their families are invited to return to campus to enjoy a day of activities for all ages and free time to walk the campus, visit downtown and return to favorite on- and off-campus haunts. 

FOSA Hall of Fame trophy

The 16th annual Friends of Skidmore Athletics Benefit and Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, in Williamson Sports Center. Four former student-athletes and two teams will be honored, and there will be special recognition of President Philip A. Glotzbach. 

October on campus

Planning is underway for Celebration Weekend, Skidmore's annual open house for students' families. This year's Oct. 18-20 event features faculty seminars, performances, a president's hour, campus tours, Career Jam and more. Register by Oct. 4. 


Now until Nov. 3, nominate alumni for recognition awards and for positions on the alumni board. Alumni in class years ending with 0 and 5 are especially urged to nominate classmates for distinguished achievement or outstanding service awards.

Phil and Marie Glotzbach

President Philip A. Glotzbach and Marie Glotzbach are kicking off their Celebration Tour. Also, join fellow alumni for apple picking in Boston on Sept. 15. Two Dinner for 12 Strangers events will also be held in September – one in Minneapolis on Sept. 24 and the other in Santa Fe on Sept. 26  

Yasmine Boukari ’21

The men’s and women’s soccer teams, volleyball and field hockey will all look to challenge for Liberty League championships this fall. Men’s and women’s tennis, men’s and women’s crew, and golf play the first part of their schedules before returning in the spring for their respective league championships. 

Ebony G. Patterson’s

The Tang’s Fall Celebration on Sept. 21 features a curators’ talk about “Ree Morton: The Plant That Heals May Also Poison,” followed by a reception for all fall shows. Ebony G. Patterson will be the featured artist for the Sept. 24 Dunkerley Dialogue. 

Parker Quartet

The Grammy Award-winning Parker Quartet will perform Shostakovich at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28. Decca recording artists Giampaolo Bandini and Cesare Chiacchiaretta, guitar and bandoneonduo, will present Argentina’s music at 7 p.m. Oct. 3.
