‘Giving Thanks to You’: Employee Appreciation Week

President Marc Conner thanks all employees for their extraordinary work in making a safe reopening of the College possible this semester and for furthering the College’s mission. In recognition of the tremendous effort, diligence and dedication of each employee at Skidmore College, the president and his cabinet declare the week of Nov. 23 “Giving Thanks to You” week.
 
On Monday, Nov. 23, and Tuesday, Nov. 24, employees will participate in an appreciation event with their teams. Department heads and program chairs will choose from a list of events developed by Human Resources. Departments may choose alternative dates if Nov. 23 and 24 do not work, as long as the appreciation event occurs prior to Dec. 4.
 
The week will be capped off with a day off for employees on Wednesday, Nov. 25. Essential employees who have to work will be granted an additional floating holiday to be used before Dec. 31. Union employees should work with their supervisor to submit a request for time off and document the day as a floating holiday, and other employees may mark this day as a floating holiday in Kronos. Choose the drop-down in the column Pay Code and then enter your regular hours under the Amount column.
