Elizabeth Howe, lecturer in art, reviewed the 2011 National Ceramics Biennial at the Tampa Museum in Florida (sponsored by the National Council on Education in the Ceramic Arts), for publication in the Summer Issue of Ceramics Monthly magazine. A pdf copy of the article, along with several other recently published reviews and articles, can be found on her blog .

Sang Wook Lee, assistant professor of art, will have work included in a major international show, the VI Biennial of Textile Art in Mexico City from May 26 through July 22. He is showing "Fork and Knife," the cotton and hand-stitched fiber work that was included in the Selected Art Faculty Exhibition at the Schick Art Gallery earlier this year. His art will be featured in an exhibition of large-format fiber art at the Museo Diego Rivera.

Gordon Thompson, professor of music, has added an entry for May to his monthly blogfor Oxford University Press. Titled The Foundations of British Rock: Archer Streetthe entry looks at the role of location, social networks, and technology in lives of British musicians during the early 1960s.There'snot much about the Beatles (which seems a perennial favorite); but he does touch on Jet Harris, John Paul Jones, and the Fender Precision Bass.
