Showers of joy: A Reunion to remember

The rain couldn't drown out the joy on campus over Reunion weekend. Alumni traced old paths through Case Student Center and other familiar stomping grounds. All around, moments turned into memories as more than 800 alumni from class years ending in 0 and 5, as well as alumni spanning every era of Skidmore's theater program, returned to campus for Reunion 2025.

From Friday, May 30, through Sunday, June 1, Skidmore buzzed with reconnection — across generations, disciplines, careers, and shared interests. Alumni strolled through a Saratoga Springs in full bloom, rediscovered favorite campus spots, posed for photos together with family and friends, and toured new facilities, including the new McCaffery-Wagman Tennis and Wellness Center. They once again filled classrooms to engage with faculty on today’s most pressing topics.

Signature traditions sparked school spirit — from a Parade of Classes under the rain to the Alumni Awards and Recognition Ceremony. At the Frances Young Tang Teaching Museum and Art Gallery, creativity was on full display as special exhibitions celebrated alumni artists.

A standout moment? Theater alumni coming together for a weekend of creative workshops and heartfelt throwbacks. Saturday night’s dinner honored retired faculty and reignited a community rooted in collaboration, passion, and play.

Whether it was your fifth Reunion or your 50th, the weekend offered what it always has: the chance to reconnect with the people and place that helped shape who you are.

Because at Skidmore, Reunion isn’t just a return — it’s a reminder: Creative Thought Matters. And it always will.

Alumni Awards

On Saturday, May 31, the Skidmore College Alumni Association honored 12 exceptional alumni who have given back to the College and excelled in their careers and lives after graduation.

“These are individuals who through their work and their contributions have bequeathed a legacy to Skidmore College, a legacy that will live on," said President Marc C. Conner. "I’m grateful to them and to all of you for your incredible support of Skidmore. We depend on those who believe passionately in our mission and our purpose. And I am certain that that mission and that purpose have never been more important than they are today.”

Shaping tomorrow together

This year, Skidmore’s Reunion classes made history. Alumni set 18 new class giving records, three new Reunion class records, and one all-time Reunion giving record. Together, they raised an inspiring total of $15,967,374, including $1,277,722 through the Skidmore Fund — all made possible by 1,193 alumni spanning the Classes of 1950 through 2020.

Among these generous donors were:

  • 483 Loyalty Circle members, recognized for three or more consecutive years of giving
  • 116 members of the President’s Society
  • 183 Legacy Society members

This collective impact reflects the dedication and passion of our Skidmore community — and the tireless efforts of 112 Reunion and fundraising volunteers who helped make it all happen. Thank you for fueling the future of Creative Thought.
