Jason Breves

Jason Breves, assistant professor of biology, co-authored an article in the January issue of the journal General and Comparative Endocrinology titled "Control of leptin by metabolic state and its regulatory interactions with pituitary growth hormone and hepatic growth hormone receptors and insulin like growth factors in the tilapia (Oreochromis mossambicus)." The article describes a collaborative study with researchers at North Carolina State University and the University of Hawaii.

Sara Lagalwar

Sara Lagalwar, assistant professor and Williamson chair of neuroscience, recently co-authored the paper titled "Expansion, mosaicism and interruption: mechanisms of the CAG repeat mutation in spinocerebellar ataxia type 1" in the journal Cerebellum and Ataxias. Her co-author was Skidmore alum Cara Kraus-Perrotta '16, a biology major.

Sónia Silva

Sónia Silva, associate professor of anthropology, had an essay titled "Objects and Objectivity in Divination" published in the interdisciplinary journal Material Religion: The Journal of Objects, Art and Belief. Silva's essay is part of a forum on the material culture of divination, organized by David Morgan of Duke University.
