AJ SchnellerCatherine White Berheide, professor of sociology, and collaborators from Union College and St. Lawrence University, published their first article from the data they collected on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on faculty at the three institutions. “’I Have No Time for Anything:’ Differences in Faculty Research Productivity during the COVID-19 Pandemic” appears in The Advance Journal, Vol. 2, Issue 3.    

Beau BreslinBeau Breslin, professor of political science, joined WAMC’s “The Roundtable” to discuss his new book, "A Constitution for the Living: Imagining How Five Generations of Americans Would Rewrite the Nation's Fundamental Law." 

David Domozych

David Domozych, professor of biology, is co-author of the paper "Ancient origin of fucosylated xyloglucan in charophycean green algae" in Nature Communications Biology. The paper describes how land plants have evolved from green algae and is a culmination of work of researchers from the University of Copenhagen, Technical University of Denmark, University of Edinburgh, Newcastle University and Skidmore College. 

Catherine Golden

Catherine J. Golden, professor of English, published two book reviews in academic journals. Golden's review of “Worlds Beyond: Miniatures and Victorian Fiction,” by Laura Forsberg, appears in New Books Online 19 (2021-06-02). Golden's review of “Victorian Women and Wayward Reading,” by Marisa Palacios, Knox appears in Nineteenth-Century Literature (Cambridge UP 2021) 76 (1): 123-26.

William KennerlyWilliam Kennerly, senior teaching professor of chemistry, co-authored an article, “Conversation among Physical Chemists: Strategies and Resources for Remote Teaching and Learning Catalyzed by a Global Pandemic” in the Journal of Chemical Education. The authors content-analyzed a Zoom discussion among 80 physical chemists about the challenges of spring 2020 and brainstorming how to transform their pedagogy for the new academic year.

Jennifer MuellerJennifer Mueller, associate professor of sociology and director of the Intergroup Relations Program, published “Anticipating White Futures: The Ends-Based Orientation of White Thinking” in the journal Symbolic Interaction with Skidmore graduate DyAnna Washington ’18.
