Class of 2020 Commencement Celebration Update

November 4, 2021

Dear Members of the Class of 2020,

In June, President Conner wrote to share plans for a Class of 2020 Commencement Celebration, which we will be hosting here on campus, June 3-5, 2022. In that communication, we asked for your input via a brief survey. Just over 80% of you responded by letting us know that you are extremely likely or likely to return to Skidmore for this celebration! This is great news. Thank you!

We’ve already begun working with class leaders to develop plans for this very special occasion. Based on your feedback, we’re looking to incorporate the following events into the schedule of activities:

Friday, June 3, 2022
Arrival & Registration
Lunch and Welcome by President Marc C. Conner
Fun Day Activities (TBD)
Class of 2020 Gathering & Seven Days Dance Party

Saturday, June 4, 2022
Class of 2020 Brick Celebration & Continental Breakfast
Class of 2020 Barbecue
Class of 2020 Celebration
Lake George Dinner Cruise
Fireworks Display
Live Music & Dancing

Sunday, June 5, 2022
Morning departure from campus

Class of 2020 lead volunteers Jinan Al-Busaidi, Naira Abdula, Isabelle Bleckner, David Robakidze and others continue to partner with key College staff to firm up the details and they would welcome a few more classmates to assist with the effort.

We anticipate launching online registration for this unique celebratory weekend in early March 2022. One of our top priorities is ensuring that the weekend is affordable for everyone. As previously stated, Skidmore is inviting the members of the class of 2020 to stay on campus free of charge. We look forward to welcoming you and your classmates back to Saratoga Springs!

Sincerely,
Michael C. Sposili
Assistant Vice President for Alumni Relations & College Events
