Ms. DiMaio has been teaching math courses at Skidmore College since the spring of 2016. She has always been interested in patterns and puzzles. She has a Bachelors in Math from Guilford College and a Master’s in Secondary Mathematics Education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She taught math from 2002-2006 at Hillside High school in Durham, one of the few remaining historically black high schools in North Carolina, and from 2007 to 2014 at Woods Charter School, which was ranked #3 in NC and #100 in US High Schools. Her areas of interest include public health and politics. She enjoys helping students see the beauty and utility of mathematics. She teaches Calculus with Algebra, Calculus 1, Introduction to Statistics, and Quantitative Reasoning.
