Curriculum Vitae

Professor Hogenson joined the department as an Assistant Professor in Fall 2020. She teaches mostly mathematics courses, including calculus, intro to proof, and graph theory. She also helps organize the monthly Mathematics and Statistics Departmental Seminar. Prof. Hogenson completed her Ph.D. in mathematics at Iowa State University in 2016 with a dissertation titled “Random and deterministic versions of extremal poset problems.” Her research interests lie in graph theory, discrete mathematics, and combinatorics, and she enjoys advising theses and working on research projects with undergraduate mathematics majors. In her free time, she is an active member of the Schenectady Curling Club and an avid runner.
