Going to Press with the Skidmore News

skidnews

Students with an interest in journalism collaborate with Skidmore News staff members to create in-depth news articles, features and reviews for the paper's first issue. Students excited about the art of photojournalism, page layout and comics are also encouraged to participate. Working with the Editorial Board, learning the ins and outs of journalism and seeing your work in print are just some of the many rewards the program offers. You will also learn from industry professionals, including a reporter, editor and photojournalist.

We will take a trip to the Times Union newspaper in Albany, N.Y., explore downtown Saratoga and meet some really cool friends.

The program will help participants develop strong and lasting friendships while becoming better readers, writers and researchers. This is also a great opportunity to explore downtown Saratoga Springs and become actively engaged in Skidmore campus life.
