2020-2024. Those dates will bookend your college career. The “stories of your life” over these four years will be different than the stories most Skidmore students can tell. You begin your journey in troubled and uncertain times. But, what will the future hold? What stories will you live?
Rather than focus too deeply on the uncertainties of the present, let us take a science-fictional leap to the future. To 2024. To the moment of your graduation. Let us conjure those future moments. Let us imagine the you-of-today talking to that you-of-tomorrow.
What does the you-of-today want the you-of-tomorrow to remember about this time? If the you-of-today had access to a time capsule to leave for that you-of-tomorrow, what would you put in it? What object or reflection or expression might help the two different versions of yourself weave together the story of your life?
