- Bill McKendree '74 returns to Skidmore to recruit for virtual consulting interns for Spring 2019 with his firm, The Clarion Group.
- The CDC welcomes Ali Stidd to their team! Ali serves as our new Recruitment Event Project Manager for the upcoming Skidmore Recruitment Day in New York City. This exciting event is exclusive to Skidmore seniors and will include a variety of employers offering interviewing opportunities for full time jobs after college.
- Back by popular demand, William Burke-White, considered one of the leading scholars on international law and global governance, will once again engage Skidmore students in an intimate discussion concerning potential careers around foreign policy, global human rights, international economic law, international institutions, international law, and more. Dr. Burke-White, a Richard Perry Professor of Law at the University of Pennsylvania, served in the Obama Administration from 2009-2011 on Secretary Clinton’s Policy Planning Staff. During a prior visit to Skidmore in Spring 2018, he hosted a "sold-out" program with the Career Development Center.

- The Sustainability Office and CDC hosts Sustainability Careers 101, a conference introducing students to professionals working in sustainability-oriented careers.

- For more than 18 years, Penny Loretto has worked with Skidmore students and alumni interested in getting internship experiences and jobs, particularly in the nonprofit, government, and education sectors. These career communities are also highly represented of the type of employers and organizations that participate in the Career Development Center’s Summer Experience Fund Awards Program.
- In January of his junior year, Jamie Benjamin '17 headed to the Jamie Benjamin '17Career and Internship Connections (CIC) event in New York City. One of his interviews at this event was with AIG, a multinational finance and insurance corporation. Today, Jamie is a financial analyst with the company. CIC New York has historically hosted around 100 employers offering both internship and job opportunities to students of some of the nation's highly ranked colleges. For Jamie, the event allowed him to apply for multiple positions. He loved the idea of having several interviews on one day in one location.
