Day Hosting Program

The Skidmore College Day Hosting Program gives high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to spend a morning or afternoon on Skidmore's campus with a current student, attend a class, and have a meal in our dining hall.

After you submit the form below, your information will be sent to our student coordinator, who will make the arrangements for your visit. Your host will contact you at the email address you provide and will share his/her schedule with you, as well as the time and place that you should meet him/her.

Please register at least two weeks in advance so that we can match you with a host. We will try to match you with someone in your area of interest; however, we cannot guarantee that a particular major or course will be available during your specific visit.  If you would like to attend a specific class on your own, please view the master course schedule and instructions for visiting a classroom.

Some details to keep in mind for your visit:

  • Class options are more limited on Fridays.
  • Studio Art classes usually meet for three hours.
  • Please be on time to meet your host before his/her class.
  • Be sure to indicate your academic area(s) of interest in your registration to assist in matching you with a host.

The Day Hosting Program has ended for the fall semester.  Registration for the spring semester will begin on January 15.

The earliest visit date we can accommodate for the spring semester is Wednesday, January 31.  The last visit date is Thursday, April 19.  Please note: There are no visits during spring vacation (March 12-16).

If you have any further questions, please contact Leah Casey at 518-580-5574 or Julie DiRoma at 518-580-5578.
